The 2024 season has been tough on two times NASCAR Cup champion Joey Logano till last Sunday’s All-Star race at North Wilkesboro. He ended his winless streak in a dominant fashion, leading 199 laps of the 200 laps race, starting on pole. It was the most dominant win in the history of the All-Star races.

But unfortunately, he wins didn’t get the recognition and the limelight it deserves, as the while limelight went to the fight between Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Kyle Busch. JGR veteran Denny Hamlin while talking about the incident via his podcast Action Detrimental pointed out that no one cares about the No:22 tams win for unfortunate reason.

I hate to say this — nobody gives a f*** about Joey Logano winning the All-Star Race. That’s a fact. And I hate that our media was like, ‘Oh my gosh, they’re only showing the fight.’ Well, yeah. We gotta understand who we are. With all due respect to the 22, nobody gives a s***.

While talking about the same, the three times Daytona 500 winner pointed out that that’s the just how the sport and media works. At the end of the day, it was the clash the made the race worthy of stories.

The No:22 Team Penske Ford driver while talking about his win pointed out that he is proud of the team and how the win came their way. He highlighted how much handwork the team has put in to get them in the spot.

Proud of the team. That means that’s just great execution all the way through from the tuning it in practice, from the tire test when we were here, working on our car for a long time, and then finding the right tires.

This win is really great for the No:22 team regardless of the limelight. This will give them a lot of confidence going back to the regular season races and if they can keep up the form, it won’t be long before they win a race and secure playoffs.
