Hendrick Motorsports’ Kyle Larson has been the pick of the pack in the chase for the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series title. He has been consistent throughout the season and is the only one among the multi-race winners to have wins spread throughout the season. His win last week at Briton, leading over 450 laps was another golden chapter in his journey.

The performance from Kyle Larson has impressed his main rival Denny Hamlin a lot. The veteran in the recent episode of his podcast highlighted that the HMS driver is the most deserving candidate to make it into the last-4. He asserted that there are no excuses for the No:5 Chevy team to miss the championship-4.

Kyle Larson should be a hundred points ahead. Book him in the final four. There’s no way, reason, in any type of format, should that five car not be in the final four racing for a championship.

He went on to add that though he has the performance advantage, nothing is concrete as he just has a one race advantage over the rest of the grid in the second stage of the post-season. Hamlin remined the NASCAR community that anything can happen in playoffs with some wild card races making the difference.

But he is just one race ahead with three races to go. So, you know, anything can happen, but he’s got to be feeling the best. Kyle Larson should be a hundred points ahead.

Kevin Harvick urges Denny Hamlin to get back to offensive mode and fight Kyle Larson for wins

While Kyle Larson stroll through the first round of playoffs, Denny Hamlin struggled hard due to their less offensive strategy. 2014 Cup champion Kevin Harvick is disappointed with the No:11 team over this and has urged them to again push the limit a the used to in the past to yield success against the likes of Larson.

Denny Hamlin and Chris Gabehart—those guys are offense players. I wanna see them on offense; I wanna see them battling for the lead. Pushing the pace of the race, controlling in the race, doing what they have to do. I’d still rather see him up front battling Kyle Larson and taking the chances to win the races.

The points made by the former champion seems to be really on point as the reason for Denny Hamlin struggles has been them laying back. It will be interesting to see how the Toyota veteran bounce back in the second round of the post-season.
