The 2024 NASCAR Cup season is in the most important position, as the top-8 drivers in the garage are set for the intense fight for the championship-4 entry. The last eight drivers include four former champions in Kyle Larson, Chase Elliott, Ryan Blaney and Joey Logano. They are joined by Denny Hamlin, Chrsitopher Bell, Tyler Reddick and William Byron.

Joe Gibbs Racing veteran Denny Hamlin, in his podcast predicts who he things from the four solid drivers might make it into the very next-round of the post-season. While discussing about it, the 23XI Racing co-owner admitted that its really hard make a pick from the group of drivers, considering almost everyone in the eight has won races and has been solid the whole season.

Then he went onto name himself, the 2021 Cup champion Kyle Larson, Joe Gibbs Racing’s Christopher Bell, and the 2020 Cup champion Chase Elliott. It’s a bold prediction, considering he overlooked the like of Blaney, his own driver Reddick and HMS’ William Byron.

Before giving the prediction, Hamlin discussed how great the drivers made it into the last-8 has performed this season, with Kyle Larson and Christopher Bell, being the front runners owing to their consistency. He believes the drivers who has made it into the last-8 are the best eight drivers of the season.

Larson… Bell’s, God dang it… There’s been, he [Bell] was in trouble Homestead last year all of a sudden a very, very timely caution when I think daggone Larson hit the barriers or something like that. Larson – I don’t know, I’m going to hurt some feelings here. Damn, this field is stacked. This is the way it should be, this is the way it should be. In my mind, these are the best eight drivers that we’ve got.

The comments from Denny Hamlin, suggests that the race on Sunday is going to be really tough for all the parties involved. It will be interesting see, if the driver Hamlin predicted will be the ones fighting for the championship at Phoenix.
