Kyle Busch has been struggling produce any consistent performance like he used to do, since the start of the 2024 season due to RCR’s failure to give him a strong car. His outing last Sunday at Pocono Raceway was no different as he was wrecked by Corey LeJoie in an incident during the restart with just 40 laps left in the race.
Denny Hamlin, who was the former teammate of Kyle Busch at Joe Gibbs Racing, gave advice to the two times champion on how to approach the remaining races of the season amidst the hopeless situation. He asked him to be professional with his approach and do the very best he can do by controlling what he can control.

The only way to approach it is to be a professional and you show up and do your job to the best of your ability. Control what you can control. That’s my advice if anyone ever wanted to hear it is that you do the best that you possibly can, and you let the chips fall where they may.Denny Hamlin said via Action Detrimental.
He went onto to say that Kyle Busch should try to get the best out of the car he has if it isn’t fast enough. Hamlin pointed out that Busch should always try get in a position where he will have a shot at the win if the race turned into a fuel mileage challenge.
If you don’t have the fastest car, you try to drive that car to a couple spots better or just put yourself in position to where, you know what, if this turns into a fuel-mileage race, let’s make a call that we could win this thing on fuel mileage.Denny Hamlin added.
Denny Hamlin use Joey Logano example to explain how Kyle Busch can still win
The veteran driver still feels that Kyle Busch can win a race in the 2024 season. He showed the example of how Joey Logano went onto win a race despite consistently running outside the top-10. But admitted that Busch needs to have luck on his side to do the same.

The speed hasn’t been there. Now can he win a race? Yes, Joey Logano won a race from 17th at Nashville. So, it is possible but you’re gonna need some crazy sh*t to happen. The odds are very, very low that you’re gonna win a race running 17th all day. You’re gonna need fuel mileage to be a factor, you’re just gonna need chaos at the end…Denny Hamlin said.
Kyle Busch has been working hard to get a win this season, but with a car as bad as the No:8 Chevy there is so much he can do. More than the driver it is the team that needs to step and deliver in the remaining races of the season.
