The 2024 NASCAR Cup season marked the redemption Chase Elliott from the disappointing season he had the year before. In 2023 he got injured in a snowboarding accident and his subsequent winless run after comeback from missing six races saw him not making it into the playoffs. This year however he has been consistent top 15 finisher from race one and has already secured his place in the playoff with a win.

Chase Elliott is still in the running for the regular season championship with the finale at Darington left before the playoffs. Hence it was surprising to see betting sites giving him just 1-24 odds. It is shocked Ex-HMS crew chief Steve Letarte, and vis his regular podcast on NASCAR betting he admitted it’s really odd that the HMS driver isn’t rated enough.

I would never say this on this show, but he's the best value on the board. I never thought the books would drop the ball just because of the fandom, right? That's really what we're talking about, right, Tim?
Steve Letarte said via his Dirty Mo Media podcast.

He highlighted that how Elliott often gets lower number because his vast fandom, but it coming down to such a law is a shock. Letarte pointed out that No:9 Chevy has always been good at the track and expects a strong run yet again.

We always see Elliot a little lower. Every number you threw out there he's always one or two numbers lower because of the fandom. I had him at like a 14 or 16. I mean, he runs really good there. To see him at 24 to 1…

I mean, he's got decent numbers here too. I mean, it's worth a play. 2400, you're never going to see that again. You can almost get even money for top 10 for Chase. I mean, I think a top 10 is an absolute, absolute bet for Chase top 10. I thought I would never say this.
Steve Letarte said.

The points made by the ex-NBC NASCAR commentator holds ground as Chase Elliott will most probably be contender for the win this coming Sunday. With the regular season championship on the line, he will be doing everything possible to pull-off a win.
