Fans Outraged as Popular TV Show Displays Wrong Information on NASCAR Legend Dale Earnhardt Sr

Ralph Dale Earnhardt Sr NASCAR Hall of famer and considered to be one of the greatest NASCAR drivers of all time, nicknamed “The Intimidator”, who has 7 Winston Cup championships (now NASCAR championship) in his name passed away in 2001, in a sudden last-lap crash during the ‘Daytona 500’ due to a basilar skull fractur ending his 4-decade long career.

The NASCAR fans were shocked after American reality TV show “Pawn Stars”, based on pawn shops working, aired an episode where a customer approached the shop to sell one of Dale Earnhardt Sr racing suits. The show often displays background information of the item coming in to the shop but this time the show displayed wrong Information causing fan outrage.

The show got wrong one of the most important incidents in both NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt Sr’s History. The fact box read, where the show usually displays information, “Born in 1951, Earnhardt was killed instantly in a collision during the final lap of the 2001 Indy 500“. This caused outraged among fans as they got it all wrong.

Dale Earnhardt Sr lost his life in a last lap crash during the Daytona 500, not the Indy 500. The Daytona 500 is a stock car racing championship on the other hand Indy 500 races open wheel cars part of IndyCar series, which happens in completely different cars and tracks and are part of entirely different racing series.

Some of the fans responded to the wrong information in twitter saying

Apart from the controversy, the suit was confirmed legit, from 1993 for the Coca-Cola 600 and had signatures of blues singer Delbert McClinton, Dale Sr, Neil Bonnett, and Teresa Earnhardt. The owner of the suit failed to make a deal with the pawn shop and kept the suit with him.
