Hurricane Helene has been wreaking havoc in North Carolina and Tennessee. This has left citizens stranded with close to no resources, making the situation even more dire for them. This urged people worldwide to help the affected. Subsequently, Greg Biffle aimed to aid such people and other brands followed suit as the 54-year-old expressed gratitude towards Elon Musk‘s companies for showing up at the time of despair.
Greg Biffle is an icon in the NASCAR world. The 54-year-old is a role model for many young drivers who have witnessed his skill on the racetrack. On the other hand, the U.S. has been suffering from the wreckage caused by natural forces as Hurricane Helene wrecked huge cities and towns, leaving residents with no electricity and no means of connecting to the outside world.
At such time, Biffle stepped ahead and started a movement to help the affected people in areas with no or limited reach. Following this, companies like SpaceX, Polaris, and Starlink joined Biffle’s movement in increasing the rescue missions and survivors from the wreckage. This caused the 54-year-old to express his gratitude towards the Elon Musk-owned corporations for helping the people of North Carolina and Tennessee.
NASCAR teams pool in to aid in the rescue mission
While Biffle’s response to the hurricane has remained quite social, companies have pooled over from the different coasts of the country to aid in the time of distress. Moreover, NASCAR teams did not hold back from helping the people and joined at the forefront of the struggle.
Hendrick Motorsports and Joe Gibbs Racing’s helicopters were noted by a journalist to have been moving towards the hurricane-affected areas in North Carolina. Also, JGR’s donation drive was captured at Huntersville, as the team is scheduled to bring relief packages for the people stuck in their homes and buildings.
The NASCAR world has opened its arms to any refugees as teams have pledged to donate millions of dollars for the restoration work. On the other hand, tracks like Bristol have opened their premises for any evacuees to seek refuge and help them find shelter.
