A.J. Allmendinger
A.J Allmendinger who sports the No.16 Chevrolet Camaro for Kaulig Racing has shown exceptional performance in this weeks’ Xfinity Series race at the Circuit of The Americas. He stayed ahead for most of the race and finished with just over 2.03 seconds ahead of Austin Hill.
A.J Allmendinger is evidently a really good driver when it comes to road courses as the results prove it. The win at this years’ first road course race marks A.J Allmendinger’s first Xfinity Series race win this season and the 11th win of his career. He also has a list of 7 road course wins across six different road course tracks which now puts him in second place in the standings after this weekends’ win at COTA.
But it wasn’t easy for Allmendinger as Ty Gibbs, Ross Chastain, and Cole Custer was all along with him for the early stages of the race but later Gibbs and Chastain traded places with Allmendinger for the lead and A.J. Allmendinger didn’t look back after that. Unfortunately, Ty Gibbs and Ross Chastain faced early blows leaving them in P15 and P17 respectively.
I just want to do it for them. Thankfully, we got it done today,” A.J Allmendinger on Kaulig Racing’s support being the greatest motivation

A.J. Allmendinger stated that his team is the real backbone for his victory and that the men and women there deserve the win more than anyone, that’s the reason he pushes himself hard so he can win it for them as the team crew and was ecstatic that he could do it this weekend.
“Honestly, all these men and women here at Kaulig Racing between the Cup side of it and the Xfinity side of it, they don’t’ sleep during the week, they’re busting their tales and that’s why I’m so fricking hard on myself sometimes because they deserve to win more than anybody here. And I just want to do it for them. Thankfully, we got it done today,” stated A.J. Allmendinger.
Subsequent to the race at COTA this weekend, the standings see Noah Gragson leading the points table with just one point more than A.J. Allmendinger and the third position belonging to Ty Gibbs who is 31 points following A.J. Allmendinger. Will A.J Allmendinger continue to keep winning for his team? Only time will answer this as racers are getting ready for April 2nd’s Xfinity Series race at Richmond Raceway.
