‘I’m excited,’ Chase Elliott is all set to drive the Bristol Truck dirt race for Spire Motorsports

NASCAR Championship leader Chase Elliott is set to make his Truck Series return this weekend at Bristol speedway in the Bristol Truck Series Dirt Race. He will drive the No:7 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado on Saturday.

This will be his only 17th start at a truck series race as the 2020 Cup Series Champion never had a long career at the third tier of the NASCAR national level series’.  Chase Elliott has a good winning record in Truck Series as he has won 3 races out of the 16 he started yet. His last Truck Series outing came in 2021 at Texas where he finished p2 behind John-Hunter Nemechek.

Chase Elliott will become the third Hendrick Motorsports driver to make his Truck series entry this season the previous two came from William Byron last week at Martinsville, where he went on to win both Truck event and Cup race, and Alex Bowman at COTA. All of them drove the No:7 Spire Motorsports cars thanks to the fact that it is sponsored by Hendrickcar.com.

Chase Elliott acknowledged that he is looking forward to driving  No. 7 Chevy Silverado at Bristol as he finds driving trucks in dirt tracks a lot of fun.  He went on to say that Spire Motorsports has had some great runs this year and added that he is excited to race on Saturday at the Bristol Speedway.

“Driving the No. 7 Chevy Silverado at Bristol this weekend is definitely something I’m looking forward to. These trucks always look like a lot of fun to race on dirt, and this team has had some great runs this year and put together a solid program in a short amount of time. I’m excited to see what we can go out there and do on Saturday night,” said Chase Elliott.  

Chase Elliott who remains to be the only Hendrick Motorsports driver to win a Cup Series Race in 2022 season in Next Gen car will be hoping that he can emulate what William Byron did last week on Martinsville.
