Hendrick Motorsports over the years have been the home to some of the biggest stars of the sport. From Dale Earnhardt Jr. to Jeff Gordon in the past to Chase Elliott and Kyle Larson now, the list of legendary drivers to race for HMS is long. That’s one of the reasons why the team got some of the biggest fans bases and they often host fan interaction events.

Recently in one such event ahead of the Coca-Coal 600, a fan asked Chase Elliott to sign a baby. The 2020 Cup champion was surprised like many around him, but he carefully autographed the baby’s Elliott shirt with his initials only. Now in a video posted online Jeff Gordon was seen signing a baby like the No:9 Chavy Camaro XZZL1 driver.

A fans approached him on the stage while giving autograph and immediately it seemed the HMS Vice President understood what’s ging to happen. He event joked about how Chase Elliott is the reason why it all happened before autographing the baby that started crying.

Jeff Gordon is proud of Kyle Larson’s Indy 500 attempt

This weekend was really special for Hendrick Motorsports for another reason, as they were full in supporting Kyle Larson for his Indy 500 debut with Arrow McLaren, in Rick Hendrick sponsor cars. Jeff Gordon was there at Indy leading the operations of HMS team as Larson had the Coke 600 to race as well.

Kyle Larson had a solid race that saw him race inside the top-10 most of the day before unfortunately finishing P18 because of a speeding penalty. But he was able to win the rookie of the year award with the result and Gordon is proud of his driver.

Proud of this guy! Got better with every lap and learned a ton.

Unfortunately, Jeff Gordon crew wasn’t ready for the mother natures play, as Kyle Larson couldn’t switch seats with Justin Algaier at Coca-Cola 600 because the race was shorted due to rain. So they are now focused on helping him get a waiver from NASCAR to continue competing for the championship.
