The 2024 NASCAR playoff started with the wildest R-16 ever with Atlanta, Watkins Glen and Bristol hosting races. The chaos ended up causing the elimination of ex-champions Martin Truex Jr. and Brad Keselowski. Fans might be in for a similar ride, as the R-12 of playoffs will feature races at Talladega, Roval and Kansas.

Two times Cup champion Joey Logano gave his verdict on the feeling that both rounds look different but most probably will be the same. He pointed out that even the Kansas race though doesn’t feel like a wild card event, still is in lot ways and added that he hopes to give good race at the track this year.

It definitely looks like a replay, different but similar, with Kansas being the not wild card race of the three, but it actually still in a lot of ways is. Hopefully we can get to Kansas and have a solid run.

He went onto explain what the No:22 team has to do to get promoted to the R-8. Logano pointed out that he needs to put the car on good position to earn points at Roval and Dega, taking race at a time. Then work on Kansas to have a strong weekend there as well.

That’s what we need, score some points, and put ourselves in a good spot to get through Talladega and the Roval. It’s one race at a time. It’s nice that we’ve had three weeks to think about Kansas now and hopefully that means something.
Joey Logano added.

Joey Logano recently calls out the Next-Gen car for promoting aggressive racing

The lack of respect while racing has been a big topic discussion in the current era and Joey Logano in recent Dale Jr. Download podcast appearance gave his verdict. He pointed out that the design of the current cars with string bumpers encourages having aggressive racing and the lack of passing makes it slightly worse.

Now the bumpers are bulldozers, right? When you go to your local little go-kart track and they got the big bumpers all the way around it, what ends up happening? You guys clobber each other, we have cars like that now; we have cars that are just tough.
Joey Logano said.

The two times Cup champion will have to survive the same in the coming races as they will be a huge factor in R-12. The only way to solve the issue is to police the incidents more and tweak that car so that drivers can pass each other without being over aggressive.
