The 2024 NASCAR Cup season marked another history in making, as Joey Logano joined the list of stock car racing elites by winning his third championship. The No:22 Ford driver won the title in his signature style, peaking at the right moment in the playoff and taking advantage of the mistakes from his rivals.
It also marked the third straight championship win for Team Penske Racing in the Cup series, an achievement only a few had got over the years. Recently Joey Logano shared his views on how the tough it has been for the team to keep the streak alive amidst the tough competition. Having best of the best professionals with the team with the common goal of triumph helped them to succeed.
I don’t know how to put it into words how hard it is. But I think anyone listening that has probably done anything in professional sports understands it probably as good as anybody. You put the best of the best at their profession doing the same thing with one common goal.

He pointed out that as the season progresses the competition always gets tighter, with everyone wanting to win. Logano confessed that as the field gets closer every year, Team Penske finds its hard have an advantage over other.
The competition is always trying to get better, and everybody is wanting to win. It just gets harder and harder to do. The field gets closer and closer every year. It’s tough. It’s hard to find an advantage over anybody anymore.

Joey Logano hails Roger Penske’s leadership skills
In the same conversation, Joey Logano hailed the strong leadership shown by their billionaire team owner Roger Penske. He pointed out that the veteran owner alongside Tim Cindric, Mike Nelson and Travis Geisler has been making strong decision helping the team to thrive.
To see that Team Penske has done that, for one, shows that Roger is a fantastic leader. You’ve got to think of the management of (Tim) Cindric, Mike Nelson, Travis Geisler for sure. Those guys, they’re our leaders. Those are the guys that make the decisions on everything.

The comments from Joey Logano shows the amount of respect he has for his boss and how much contribution the bossman had behind the victory. It will be interesting to see if the Ford team can keep up the strong performance in the Next-Gen era.
