Team Penske Racing veteran Joey Logano has explained how he changed from a selfish young racer to a team played over the years.

The 2024 NASCAR Cup season witnessed history in making with Team Penske Racing’s Joey Logano winning his third championship. He is now the most successful active full-time racer and is the most accomplished racer for Roger Penske in the stock car racing, proving they were right to invest in the youngster, when he was ousted by JGR owing to poor performance.
In a recent interview, Joey Logano explained how his life has changed the years with triumphs in NASCAR and how much he has evolved from a very selfish youngster. He pointed out that in his early years he was pretty selfish with his dreams and celebrated the win to himself, but life changed him, making him to approach it in a different way.
The Team Penske veteran asserted that now he gets more excited about celebrating the trace wins with his team as he wants to be a champion for them more than for himself. He admitted that he would have loved have this attitude earlier in his career.
Joey Logano defends NASCAR playoff format
One of the major criticisms that comes out of the 2024 championship triumph of Logano was the discussion about the playoff not rewarding regular season performance much. Many drivers have called for change to the format, but Logano doesn’t shared the same feeling and has called out the slight hypocrisy in the comments from many on the topic.
The comments from Joey Logano pointed out that he is right on some of the front, as every racer played by the same rule and some of the suggestions does undermine the impressive season the No:22 team had. It will be interesting to see how the criticism about the championship format would change as the 2025 season approaches.
