Three times NASCAR Cup Series champion Joey Logano is one of the most hated drivers in the current garage. Over the years his willingness to have aggressive duels with anyone of rivals and his clutch championship triumphs in the playoff’s era earned him a lot of enemies in the racing community.
Joey Logano often gets booed by the fans during races and in his recent appearance in the Donut Podcasts, was asked about how he navigate the negativity. He insisted that the fans are not booing him as a person, instead they are targeting the No:22 driver and asserted that he doesn’t care about the boos.
I understand that they’re booing the person that’s driving the car, not the person that’s out of the car. I’m okay with that. Like, that’s fine. To be honest with you, if you don’t like what I do on the racetrack, I don’t care, right? I don’t care.
Joey Logano said via Donut Podcasts.
The veteran racer pointed out that it isn’t his job at the track isn’t making people like him, his job is to win races for his boss Roger Penske. He insisted that he doesn’t care about how the fans perceives him and pointed out that he doesn’t get affected by the negativity, as the don’t known the real him, the person outside the car.
Because my job on the racetrack is not to make people like me. My job is to win. That’s what I get paid to do. So, if you don’t like that, I don’t care… You can’t let people affect you negatively if they don’t really know who you are.
Joey Logano asserted.
Further talking about the point, he asserted that the only group of individuals whose opinion he is concerned about are the one that are close to him. He bases his actions on their opinions while ignoring the negativity from everyone else.
The people I actually care about are the ones… I care about their opinion, right? Their opinion matters to me. I know them, and they know me. I care what they think. But outside of that, whatever.
Joey Logano added.
Joey Logano breaks silence on concerns around his health
Recently, the Cup champion found himself in a hilarious controversy after he was seen in public with his hair shaved, with his bald spots visible. While some used the opportunity to mock him, a lot of fans were seriously concerned about the veteran.

He took it social media to respond to the concerning messages from fans enquiring about his health. Joey Logano revealed that it was just a new haircut gone wrong due to Alopecia, a condition he has been suffering for years. Other than that, he is perfectly healthy.
My new haircut. And a lot of people concerned if I was okay…I am perfectly healthy… I got Alopecia. So, when we’re cutting it, it’s all flared up, and so we kept… now I got a new do.
