One thing that makes NASCAR unique from every other sport/Motorsports series there is around the world is the large number of racing families involved in the sport. There have been many racing dynasties in the sport, whose legacy is still represented in the sports. The Petty’s, the Earnhardt’s…the list goes on and on.
So, it’s no surprise to see NASCAR drivers doing everything for their sons and daughters from a very young age to help them have a successful racing career. The reigning Cup champion Joey Logano also has his son Hudson, who is very keen to race. But unlike some parents, the Ford driver isn’t pushing the youngster too much.
In the recent episode of the Kenny Conversations with ex-racer Kenny Wallace, Logano talked about his son’s future as a racer. He pointed out that at the moment, everything they are doing are just for fun and he will not be pushing his son to do anything unless he wants to. The veteran seems to have left any decision regarding making career out of racing entirely to Hudson as he should.
Joey Logano knows his son would want to race someday
While further talking about the point, Logano pointed out that Hudson would definitely decide to race as at the end of the day he is his son, and would do at least to have some fun, just like he did alongside his father. At the moment all the Penske drivers want is for his son to have some fun.
The comments from Joey Logano shows a father who is ready to give his son the right support needed to pursue his passion and succeed in it. If Hudson ever decided to pursue racing, he has the best teacher in Logano, who knows the hardship of becoming a good racer from a very young age.
