“Cruel and Unfair!” Justin Marks and Joey Logano Share Powerful Message Over Denny Hamlin Family Tragedy

The NASCAR community witnessed two big heartbreaks in the month December, when everyone should have been spending happy times with their family during the holidays. The first one was the plane crash that killed former champion Greg Biffle and family. The second was the recent housefire that took the life if Denny Hamlin’s father Dennis Hamlin.
The mother of the Joe Gibbs Racing veteran suffered significant injuries during the fire and is in the hospital. Racing community has been sending messages of support to Denny Hamlin, and the most recent powerful one came from Trackhouse Racing co-owner Justin Marks. On his post on X, the veteran pointed out that the grad design of the almighty sometimes feels cruel and unfair.
There are no words that can possible carry enough weight right now. All I can say is that I’m thinking about Denny Hamlin and his family tonight. Sometimes the grand design can feel so cruel and unfair.

Another strong message came from Team Penske Racing’s three times champion Joey Logano, who was once teammate with Denny Hamlin at JGR. He admitted that it was a tragic situation and asserted that the whole Logano household is praying for late Dennis Hamlin as well as MaryLou Hamlin for her full recovery.
My thoughts and prayers go out to @dennyhamlin. Such a horrific situation. The Logano family will continue to think of and pray for everyone impacted, and we’ll pray for Mary Lou and hope the best for her full recovery.

Ex-NASCAR champion joins Denny Hamlin in mourning
Two times NASCAR Truck Series champion Todd Bodine was another personal that took to social media to extend his support for the Toyota driver. He offered his prayers to the Hamlin family, asserting that the Parents of the No:11 Toyota driver were one of sweetest and greatest people he has met in the garage.

The president of Denny Hamlin’s team 23XI Racing, Steve Lauletta also shared a message on social media mourning the death. He urged everyone to keep the Hamlin family in their prayers in a month that is marked by tragedies for the NASCAR community.
I realize tragedies happen each day but at the end of an already difficult year it is hard to see people you care for go through such tough times. Please keep the Hamlin family in your thoughts and prayers.
