Joe Gibbs Racing’s Denny Hamlin has been looking for a Cup championship win since his debut. The No:11 Toyota Camry driver has never been able to take the final step in the chase due to bad luck and mistakes, despite winning over 52 races and having the best cars regularly.
The 23XI Racing co-owner has shown a lot of promise in the 2024 season, so he got much more confidence than ever in the championship chase. He has won three races to date and has been in contention in almost 95% of the races. So, 2024 might be Denny Hamlin‘s year and ex-SHR driver Kevin Harvick feels the same.
The 2014 Cup champion via his podcast pointed out that he sees Hamlin and his No:11 as the best crew with a shot at victory in the finale and is betting his money on them. Harvick has picked Hamlin on many occasions this year for such predictions.
I think they’re going to win the championship this year. They may not make it all the way through the playoffs, and you can give me a hard time, but if I had to pick today, that’s my guy.Kevin Harvick said via Happy Hour Podcast.
Kevin Harvick expects Denny Hamlin to win the Brickyard 400
NASCAR will mark its return to the Indy Oval with the Brickyard 400 this Sunday and while predicting the winner Harvick names Hamlin, before eventually naming him as a possible champion. The 2014 Cup champion made the same prediction last week ahead of Pocono, where Hamlin only scored a P11.
I kind of spilled mine earlier. I just keep picking the No. 11 to win. I think I did pick the No. 11 last week. Yeah, I think they’re going to win it.Kevin Harvick said.
The 2024 season so far has shown all the signs of the Denny Hamlin championship triumph Kevin Harvick is manifesting. It would be interesting to see how the No:11 team would perform in the last 15 races of the season as they tend to crumble at the very end.
