The NASCAR Cup Series garage is set for the 6th race of the 2025 season, at the season finale venue, Homestead Miami. Following the back-to-back impressive events in the last two weeks at Phoenix Raceway and Las Vegas Motor Speedway, heightens the expectations for the event at the mile and half-track.

2014 Cup Series champion Kevin Harvick has given his prediction for the event via his podcast Happy Hour. He expects the 2021 Cup champion Kyle Larson to end his long winless streak and secure the win on Sunday. The No:5 team desperately need a win, as they haven’t been as consistent as expected so far in 2025.

The ex-SHR driver also expects a strong challenge f4rom 23XI Racing’s Tyler Reddick, as he sees the No:5 and No:45 battling it out on the track. He believes track positions is going to play a significant role in who is going to win the race.

For me, this race is about two guy. 45 and the 5. Kyle Larson and Tyler Reddick. And it’s going to come down to executing on pit road and track position and keeping yourself with that track position and not making any mistakes.

Kevin Harvick co-host expects a 23XI Racing win

The co-hosts of the podcast also made their choices for the race. Kaitlyn Vince is expecting a Reddick owing to his impressive past performance on the track as well as the momentum he has over the last few races of the 2025 season.

Talking about the upcoming race, Harvick pointed out that just like it was in Vegas, racing without mistakes will be crucial at homestead. Many drivers’ races were ruined owing to pit-stop mistakes last Sunday, hence surviving this disaster mode will be important for success.

This happens a lot at the beginning of the year, we see a lot more mistakes on pit road than we do at the end of the year. But this is as many as I remember seeing in a long time. And I really think it’s just because of the tolerance level of the errors that you can make is much smaller. That time of the pit stop is so short that you’re just, you’re in disaster mode, on the verge of disaster all the time.

The trio predicted wins from three driver who often gets caught in such situations when they are close to winning races. Hence it would be interesting to see if one of them gets the predictions right or will there be a surprise winner like Josh Berry this coming week as well.
