NASCAR heads to New Hampshire this weekend for the first race of the Round of 12. The Cup Series Playoffs have been full of action so far this year, with the last race in Bristol pulling off a good show for fans. Ahead of the Mobil 301, NASCAR legend Kevin Harvick has placed his bets on Chase Briscoe to take the win this time around.

Chase Briscoe had a dream start to the Playoffs this year. The Joe Gibbs Racing star managed to win the first race of the Round of 16 at Darlington. He had an impressive second place finish at Gateway the next race. However, Briscoe dropped to P9 at Bristol. Currently, the Toyota driver is in P6 in the Playoff standings, 10 points above the next cut-off.

The 49-year-old knows the track very well, having made it to victory lane at New Hampshire four times during his career. Kevin Harvick recalled that JGR has always had a good history with New Hampshire. Moreover, the NASCAR legend pointed out that the Toyota team is carrying good momentum, particularly with Chase Briscoe. Thus, Harvick was confident that Briscoe and his crew will get the job done once again this weekend.

Those guys have been too successful there, and had too good of speed with Truex. I just think that they have a lot of momentum, from Toyota, their team — coming off a good week where they figured it out. I think they get it done.

Chase Briscoe remains favorite for Kevin Harvick’s team

Kevin Harvick wasn’t the only one who was confident about Chase Briscoe. His co-hosts, Kaitlyn Vincie and Mamba Smith had similar views over the Toyota driver. JGR has had the perfect start to the Playoffs this year, with a complete sweep of wins in the Round of 16. While Briscoe won in Darlington, it was Denny Hamlin who made it to Victory Lane at Gateway, and Christopher Bell won the Bristol night race.

Kaitlyn Vincie pointed out that she also wrote down Chase Briscoe’s name for the likely winner this weekend, having given some hints before.

That’s who I had written down as well. That’s why I gave a little hint earlier, about MTJ’s past success there. Tried to give a little precursor.

Kaitlyn Vincie replied

On the other hand, Mamba Smith insists that the driver to win at New Hampshire would either be Chase Briscoe or his teammate Christopher Bell. Though, he didn’t completely rule out Bubba Wallace either. Wallace races for Hamlin’s 23XI Racing, a team in alliance with JGR.

Honestly, it was either CBell or Briscoe for me. I think you couldn’t go wrong with either one. Had a little bit of Bubba Wallace in my head.

Mamba Smith added

Thus, it seems that Chase Briscoe is the favorite heading into New Hampshire. It’s rare to see multiple pundits show faith in the same name to win the race. Moreover, all signs hint at JGR’s dominance in the Playoffs this time around. But it remains to be seen if Briscoe and his team can actually take another win.
