The 2025 NASCAR Cup season so far has been a massive disappointment for Brad Keselowski. From the first 17 races of the season, he has an average finish of P23 and is sitting P30 in the points table. He had the best shot at win last Sunday at Pocono only to mess it up. Hence 2014 Cup champion Kevin Harvick feels the veteran has the most pressure than anyone in the garage.

In the latest episode of the Happy Hour podcast, Kevin Harvick was asked to name the driver under most pressure going into Georgia and he named the RFK Racing owner driver Brad Keselowski. He then highlighted how the Fords have an advantage at the track, that will help the No:6 driver. But Hendrick Motorsports will be a big challenger.

I think this is another opportunity for Brad Keselowski. I think that he’s going to be in the mix this week. The Fords are going to be strong. We know that the Hendrick cars have shown that they can run well at this particular track. It’s a balance.

Kevin Harvick said via Happy Hour Podcast.

The racers that kind find the balance I aggression will go back home with the trophy and Harvick expects the race to be hot, with the mix of aggressive racing and pure racing, adding another layer to the drama expected. The RFK veteran should be at least securing his second top-5 finish of the season this Sunday, build some momentum going forward.

You’ve got to be able to be pushed, you’ve got to be able to push a little bit. You’ve got to have that handling. It’s going to be hot. When you have hot mixed into everything that goes into Atlanta, it adds another layer. … I think that there’s going to be a handling piece that comes into effect at Atlanta.

Brad Keselowski admits mistake that led to Pocono lose

It was the mistake from Brad Keselowski that ruined the race for the No:6 team and the veteran didn’t hesitate to admit to his mistake after the race. Earlier in the race, he made the poor call of challenging the pit-call from the veteran, that forced then to stop when the pit-road was closed and incur a big penalty.

This is my fault, let me just be clear with this. We held pit road (closed under caution) every pit cycle for three laps. Normally, they hold pit road for one lap. So, when you get to lap two, it’s just an automatic pit. So, when we were going down the short chute, the team said, ‘pit this time,‘ and I had no reason to challenge them

Brad Keselowski said.

But then team and car were fast enough to help him get over that mistake and another one late in the race to secure a P2 finish, showing they could have secured a top-5 finish if not the podium or victory. The crew chief Jeremy Bullins deserves the credit for the team bouncing back from the poor start to the season.

I‘ve got to give credit to my crew chief, Jeremy Bullins. He asked me to pit the lap before and I was in a clean air spot and I wanted to keep running, taking advantage of my tires. If I would have pitted the yellow came out while we were on pit road, we probably would have cycled inside the top 10 with new tires. Might have had a shot to win a race, so I feel bad about not taking advantage of that.

Brad Keselowski added.

The comments from Brad Keselowski and Kevin Harvick shows RFK Racing is showing signs of redemption. But it won’t be easy of their drivers continues to underdeliver, as at the end of the day there is so much the teams can do in terms of field quality cars. The RFK owner needs to step up his game and deliver a win for his team as well as his passionate fans.
