2014 NASCAR Cup Series champion Kevin Harvick is having a time of his life as a broadcaster and part-time racer, since retiring from the sport in 2024. He is enjoying the time he gets to spend with his family, his son’s racing career and his own late model racing ventures. Now it seems the ex-SHR driver is looking to experience anther venture.
In the latest episode of his podcast, Kevin Harvick admitted that he is looking to experience IndyCar’s mainstay, the Indy 500. He is hopeful that he gets to experience the race in person, as he hasn’t been able to do it over decades because of it coinciding with his NASCAR races. So, he is determined to cherish that experience as he is free that week.
Since Harvick is 48 years old and way past his racing prime, it is highly unlikely that he is looking to race in the 2025 event. He will most probably come into Indy 500 either as a fan or as a broadcaster, which many motorsports’ fans will really enjoy.
Kevin Harvick criticizes Denny Hamlin for his poor form
From the start of the 2025 season, Kevin Harvick has been betting on Denny Hamlin to win the championship. But now he is regretting the choice as the No:11 team is struggling in the playoffs; the cars aren’t fast enough at the moment and the teams seems out of sync.
The ex-champion seems less hopeful of seeing the Joe Gibbs Racing driver getting into the championship-4 and win the title he has desperately chasing since his debut. It will be interesting to see how the Toyota driver playout perform in the coming events.
