The whole NASCAR community is heartbroken in the holiday season over the tragedy that struck the sport. Ex-Truck and Busch Series champion Greg Biffle lost his life in a plane crash, alongside his wife, daughter, son and three co-passengers. Many in the community has been sharing heartfelt messages about the late racing legend.

2004 NASCAR Cup Series champion Kurt Busch was one of the many to shared statements. He and his brother Kyle Busch were close friends with Biffle, after sharing the tracks for years together. The ex-23XI Racing admitted that he is devastated over the loss and pointed out that he is finding it impossible understand the loss.

I am devastated to hear of the passing of my friend Greg Biffle, his wife, Cristina, and their children Emma and Ryder. This kind of loss is impossible to understand, and I’m keeping their loved ones in my thoughts and prayers during this tragic time.

2023 Cup champion Ryan Blaney was another driver to share his thoughts on the tragic death of the racer he grew up watching on TV. He admitted that he sees the opportunity watch Biffle racing as privilege and called the later racer one of the all-time greats on as well as off the track. That’s why he made it into the list of 75 Greatest racers ever in the sport.

Awful to hear about Greg and his family. He was somebody I had the privilege of admiring on tv and got to compete against. One of the all-time greats both on and off the track. The 16 will always be iconic.

Richard Petty and Kyle Petty respond to Greg Biffle tragedy

Seven times NASCAR Cup Series champion Richard Petty took it to social media to share his thoughts on the Biffle family tragedy. He wrote his whole family is heartbroken over the plane crash and called the racer a fearless racer as well as a generous driver.

Richard Petty and the Petty Family are heartbroken by the tragic loss of Greg Biffle and his family. Greg was not only a fearless competitor, but someone who showed that same fearlessness in his generosity to others. Our deepest condolences to their loved ones.

His son and former racer Kyle Petty also shared his thoughts on X. He was out of words to talks about the death of one of the best racers the sport has ever seen and highlighted the humanitarian efforts from the late racer over the years.  

My heart breaks for the Biffle, Dutton and Wadsworth families. I hardly have the words. Greg was one of the best that ever sat in a race car. But more important than that, his humanitarian efforts far outweigh anything he ever did on the racetrack. He will be missed. God Speed. Keep praying. Never give up faith.

The sentiments shared by the Petty’s resonates a lot with what the whole community is feeling. NASCAR lost one of it’s best racers ever and one of the best human beings who should be figure to follow for the upcoming generation racers.
