Kyle Busch did not have the best of weekends at Iowa. The RCR veteran ruined his chances for the race after wrecking the No. 8 car in practice. The 40-year-old was forced to race the backup car after his crew got everything in place at the right time. However, an incident with Alex Bowman left him completely frustrated. So much so, Busch resorted to a profane rant on the team radio.
After NASCAR raised a caution on Lap 169, Kyle Busch made his way to pit road. The No. 8 driver was forced to enter in an awkward angle, almost blocking Bowman as the two have their pit boxes right next to one another. While Alex Bowman was not happy, Busch seemed to be infuriated over the incident.
Kyle Busch made his feelings known, as he raised his hand out of the window in frustration. The RCR veteran ranted on the team radio, claiming that the entire situation was horrible with no other option. Busch asserted that there was nothing else he could’ve done to allow Bowman to have a smoother pitstop. The R-rated messages show that the NASCAR icon was really fed up, not only with the incident, but how his weekend had been in Iowa.
Go tell the 48 to fuck off. It’s a shitty situation, we all fucking suck. What do you want me to fucking do?

Though, there were some positives for Kyle Busch. The RCR veteran finished stage two in fifth place, eventually crossing the line in P20. While Alex Bowman finished seventh in the race.
Kyle Busch outlines reason for Iowa wreck
Richard Childress Racing was confident heading into this weekend. The team had provided Kyle Busch with a quick car in the hopes of finally making it to the Playoffs with a race win. Unfortunately, the 40-year-old’s crash in practice ruined these plans, as he was then forced to start from last place.

Looking back at the wreck, Kyle Busch explained that he was trying to push the right rear to the limit. The crew was working with the No. 8 driver to extract more pace from the rear. Right before the incident, Busch was getting more confident with the car and hoped to push it just a bit more. However, he ended up overcorrecting the loose rear end and crashed into the wall.
Just trying to find the right rear limit, find the right rear grip that we needed and made some good changes to the car each time we came down. Felt really good in three and four there, I throttled up, car stuck well and I’m like, ‘okay, the right rear is good, let’s go’, and drove it off into one with a little bit more trust factor in it. And obviously it wasn’t there so got a little bit loose and overcorrected and just smacked the fence.
Kyle Busch told Frontstretch.
Kyle Busch is running out of time to make it to the Playoffs. Busch and RCR seem to be a shadow of their former glory with no race wins this season. The 40-year-old needs to avoid the mistakes he made at Iowa to even have a chance to make it to the business end of the tournament. Presently, Busch would not make it to the Playoffs based on the points cut-off either.
