The 2023 NASCAR season witnessed a lot of changed to two times Cup champion Kyle Busch’s career and life associated with the sport. He joined Richard Childress Racing after ending his 15 years stay at JGR and later went on to sell the assets of his Truck Series team KBM to Spire Motorsports, marking an end to its iconic years.

The decision to sell the team was a huge surprise for many associated with the sport as previously many expected him keep the team till his son Brexton is the Truck Series. Recently Kyle Busch was asked whether he missed being the KBM boss, as it was a distraction for him while having some struggles in the top-tier.

He insists that he doesn’t regret the decision though it’s a weird feeling to go back to shop, which is now owned by Spire, for his part-time Truck Series runs. He also highlighted that how KBM still exits now at the race shop of Brexton Busch’s junior racing ventures and how easy now it is to handle the team as they only have three employees.

It’s been a little bit weird, yeah. I still go over there occasionally to go in the shop and get fitted for a truck or something like that. But going over to [my son] Brexton’s shop — that’s KBM now. It is working through his race stuff, and my micro [sprint] program and whatever we do with that. So that’s been cool to have something different on the side to focus on a little bit — and not really worry about too much big stuff with 70 employees versus now just having three.
Kyle Busch told Fox Sports.

Kyle Busch explains how tough it is to be a team owner

The future Hall of Famer went on to point out that leading a NASCAR team is headache and a really stressful job. He pointed out that keeping everyone happy and employed is a tough job and admitted that he rejoices no longer having to care about it.

Just dealing with people. It’s fun and it’s cool and it’s great to have relationships with everybody. But honestly, there’s been times where it’s a headache, it’s stressful. You want to keep people happy. You want to keep people employed, and sometimes that weighs on you. And it’s been nice to not have as many to deal with.
Kyle Busch said.

Busch seems already over KBM and is looking forward to built his son’s future another way.  He is currently focussed on winning a race in the Cup series and keeping his 20-year Cup race win streak intact.
