Kyle Busch Ready for Battle of Busch’s at 2026 Tulsa Shootout

Kyle Busch is part of the highly exclusive club of NASCAR drivers who have children participating in motorsports as well. The Rowdy’s ten-year-old son, Brexton Busch, has emerged as one of the better drivers in the junior categories and is already achieving success from a young age. Now, with the 2026 season right around the corner, Papa Busch has laid out his ambitions to race against his son at the Tulsa Shootout.
Recently, Brexton Busch achieved the INEX Bondelero Championship victory at just ten years of age. Busch Jr. has also achieved many race wins over his racing career and is definitely on the right track to replicate his father’s success. Though it will take many years for the youngster to make it into NASCAR, he is still highly motivated and has the right mindset, courtesy of his overachieving father, Kyle Busch.
Kyle Busch had already raced against his son, Brexton Busch, at Millbridge this year and won the battle against his son. Now, the father-son duo is preparing to go head-to-head against the Tulsa Shootout in the 2026 season. Busch Sr. will race against his son in the Winged A division while the latter also prepares to participate in the Restricted Class A.
Though Kyle Busch has been suffering from an awful winless streak recently, he will certainly hope to win against his son. As Brexton Busch continues to move up the motorsport categories, he will surely race against his father more in the future. For now, the duo will enjoy the off-season and start preparing for their respective racing seasons, and hope to give it their all against one another at Tulsa.
Kyle Busch’s Chili Bowl Nationals entry remains unknown
Kyle Busch has confirmed his participating the Tulsa Shootout in multiple divisions, and also against his son. Amongst other drivers, Kyle Larson is still unsure whether he would race in Tulsa, especially against his son and daughter, Owen and Aubrey. But for Busch Sr., his entry to the Chili Bowl Nationals is still unknown following his defeat in the E-Feature against Larson.

For now, Kyle Larson, Christopher Bell, Ty Gibbs, Corey Day, and Sheldon Creed are confirmed to be participating in the Chili Bowl Nationals. Larson will enter as the defending champion, and Kyle Busch will have to confirm his entry soon. It is certainly exciting to witness NASCAR drivers partake in so many various categories and keep racing, even during the off-weekends, at the pinnacle of stock racing.
Kyle Busch’s main priority would be to come out of the desperate performance slump and start delivering better results in the Cup Series. Despite Busch’s recent struggles, he is definitely a huge motivating factor for Brexton Busch, and the youngster is learning the ropes of motorsports very quickly. It will be interesting to witness if the RCR star continues to race in motorsport long enough to potentially race against his son in the near future.
