The 202 NASCAR Cup season has been a massive disappointment for two times Cup champion Kyle Busch and his RCR crew. They haven’t won a single race so far and getting into the last-16 on points is almost impossible for them with just five more races left in the regular season. Amidst this poor run, the 39 years has revealed how long he can remain in the sport.

Kyle Busch recently appeared in the Pat McAfee show and discussed many topics including his eventual retirement.  His plan for the future is simple. He wants to race for five or six years in NASCAR, till his son Brexton is 16 years old and ready to race in the Truck Series. Busch wants to race one year alongside him before stepping away.

I’ll go as long as the good Lord lets me. I’ve got another five, six years in me at least. That’s about the time my boy will be old enough. He’ll get here. … He’ll be 16. He won’t be in the top series when he’s 16, he’ll be in the trucks.
Kyle Busch told Pat McAfee.

This has been the veteran’s plan for the future for a longtime and though some expected this to change due to him selling his Truck Series team’s, KBM, race shop and assets last year, it seems the plan hasn’t changed. Busch is doing everything he possibly can to training his son to become a top-tier racer like him.

Kyle Busch has lost trust in his fellow driver over back-to-back wrecks

The veteran driver because of the slow cars RCR has been fielding for him, has found himself in a tough spot during races. He has gotten wrecked multiple times this season by the mid-field drivers for many reasons and these consecutive incidents has made him no longer trust rivers around him.

I don’t have faith in any of them… I mean, I’ve been wrecked five out of the last seven races by somebody, so I don’t have faith. Maybe I’m just slow and I’m in the way and they know I’m slow, so I’m an easy guy to pass, so they just wanna knock me out.
Kyle Busch said.

The No:8 team has to get the two times Cup champion out of the mess by fielding faster cars like they used to do in the first half of the 2023 season. It would be interesting to how long and how hard it would be for Busch to make a comeback.
