Everyone in the NASCAR Cup garage is getting tensed with the playoffs just three races away. Watkins Glen, Richmond and Daytona will host these important races. One driver that is coming to these weeks with the most pressure on his shoulders in Richard Childress Racing veteran Kyle Busch. The two times Champion is desperate to end his 60+ race winless streak.
The 2025 season so far has been a nightmare for the veteran, with two P5 finishes being his best result. From the 23 race starts so far, he has only seven top 10 finishes, and a disappointing 10 finishes P20 or worse. So, what would it take for Kyle Busch redeem himself and get back to winning ways, the veteran seems to have an answer.
In his latest appearance on the SiriusXM NASCAR radio he shared his thoughts on ending the winless streak in the coming three races of regular season. He highlighted how the coming three tracks has historically been the best venues for him, with Glen being his best road course racing track. This gives him a lot of hopes for the events.
I’ve won at all those places, so let’s go do it again, right? Watkins Glen is probably my favorite road course we go to. Richmond is statistically one of my best race tracks that we go to. Daytona has been one of our best race tracks since I’ve been at RCR (Richard Childress Racing) with Team Chevrolet. I feel really good about our opportunities in the next three weeks.
Kyle Busch said on SiriusXM NASCAR radio.
He then pin-pointed execution as the important factor that could earn him a shot at redemption in the coming events. So, having the fastest car of the day will not be enough for him to win in a Cup weekend, they have to be perfect with execution on the track and on the pits, with the competition being much closer in the Next-Gen era.
It’s all about execution, being able to do our job right, that includes me, and going out there and setting some fast laps, being in control and being able to do that, having good pit stops on pit road, having good strategy and the race kind of fall our way…Having a fast car and driving up through the field, that doesn’t seem to be the case as much anymore.
Kyle Busch added.

Kyle Busch made zero trust at RCR admission
The Cup race at Iowa was massive disappointment for Kyle Busch, with him starting the weekend with a violent wreck in the practice. He admitted that he was slowly starting gain trust in the RCR cars, as they showed slow progress and after the clash, the trust meter has gone back to zero yet again.

I mean, obviously we had decent speed, you know, just trying to work on up to it and consistently just get better and better with laps. So, that’ll be about the same thing we got to do tomorrow. Just kind of, you know, I was probably built up to about 75, 80 percent trust. Now I’m back to zero again, you know. So, just trying to figure all that out. Lap by lap.
Kyle Busch said.
So, the goal once the race start for him was to understand the car yet again and earn the trust back lap by lap. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much to learn for him in the chaotic race, resulting him finishing the race behind 19 other drivers at P20. It would be interesting to see how Kyle Busch is going to make a comeback, when it is demanded of him yet again.
