The 2024 NASCAR Cup season has been a nightmare for two times Cup champion Kyle Busch who is in the final phase of his career at the top division. His hopes of redeeming from the massive drop in form in the second half of his Richard Childress Racing last season came down crashing as the team is struggling to remain in the top-10.

11 races into the 2024 season, Kyle Busch has secured just four top-10s and unfortunately has finished 20 or worse in six occasions. He and the No:8 Chevy Camero team has been receiving a lot of criticism over the performance. Via his recent social media post thanking fans for 39th birthday wishes, he flexed his race win record indirectly addressing the critics of his form.

I may be getting old, but at least the trophies will always out number the candles… Thx for the bday wishes everyone!

The RCR team showed huge sign of progress on the last race at Dover where the No:8 Chevy started the race on pole-position and finished P4. But considering Busch had two race wins the same time last season, the current position of the team in the pecking order is really disappointing for the fans of the driver.

Kyle Busch is determined to extend the positive momentum

While talking about his season so far and the coming race week at Kansas, Kyle Busch pointed out that he is excited about the race as they right now have a good momentum. More than hoping for the win, he is looking forward to having a strong day and solid finish, which would help him to extend the momentum driven run.

I would love nothing more than to win with them, of course, and then we go to Kansas next week. I feel like these next few races are really good tracks for me. I'm excited about it and getting out there and hopefully getting a whether it's a win. That would be great. But first and foremost, getting a solid foundation backup where we can get some momentum in our direction.
Kyle Busch told SBJ.

The pole win and top-5 finish at Dover was a major confidence boost for RCR. But they still have a lot to do to get back to winning. The poor form of Austin Dillon put’s Busch in a tough situation as well, as he has found himself alone in the fights. RCR has clean up all the chaos in the garage and make some tough decisions to get back on victory lane.
