Kyle Busch Recalls Acting in “Weird” Commercial for 2026 NASCAR Championship Finale with Brad Keselowski

Kyle Busch and Brad Keselowski have a long history in NASCAR. The two Cup Series star were infamous for their feud in the field. Thus, fans were shocked to see Busch and Keselowski make a surprise appearance for the NASCAR 2026 championship finale commercial. Now, the former has opened up about the entire process of making the ad.
The 2026 championship finale commercial is nothing like fans anticipated. The 2 minute video starts after Kyle Busch takes his second Cup Series title and meets Keselowski in a parking lot at night all the way back in 2019. Brad Keselowski manages to convince Busch to time travel in a DeLorean from the film, ‘Back to the Future.’
The RCR star hesitates but goes along with it. Then moments later when he returns, the duo is thrilled to see what the future beholds. Kyle Busch excitedly tells Keselowski that he would have his own Cup Series team, while Busch himself would race for RCR. Then he reveals Homestead Miami as the championship finale track for 2026 and the two share a high-five to end the clip.
Kyle Busch asked about his interaction with Brad Keselowski during the shooting. The 40-year-old insisted that the two had fun. Although, at first, Busch was not so confident with the script for the add.
The RCR driver recalled that many were surprised to see them pair up for a NASCAR commercial despite being at odds with one another in the past. Moreover, the former Cup Series champion admitted that the high five at end was indeed quite ‘weird’ for the two. Nevertheless, both drivers managed to enact the scene perfectly.
It was fine. We just showed up and did our deal. That was about it. I thought the piece turned out real well. When I saw the script of it, I was like, what are we going for here? And then I kind of got the Back to the Future vibe, and I was like, alright, I got it. Is it still if things thought out, or is it just like, hey, you guys are in the same place, we’re going to do our work? You guys have been at odds for so many years… deal. That [the leaping high five] was weird. That was definitely weird. But, hey, when you’re a good actor, you can make anything.

Kyle Busch does not have a relationship with Brad Keselowski
Fans might be thinking that Busch and Keselowski have mended their relations with the NASCAR commercial. Afterall, the two seemed to have such good chemistry during the video that it wouldn’t be wrong to assume that they’re life long buddies. However, it is likely that Cup Series veterans simply stayed professional during the shoot.
Kyle Busch made it clear that he does not really have any sort of a relationship with Brad Keselowski. However, the RCR star asserted that this is usually the case with most NASCAR drivers. Rather, drivers just know that they must remain professional and do their job, be it on or off the track.
I mean, I would just say that we don’t necessarily have a relationship. I probably don’t have a relationship with half of these guys in here anyways, you know. So we just show up and do our deal.

It is likely that NASCAR casted Busch and Keselowski on purpose. The sport was well aware that having two arch-rivals come together would generate much more interest than two buddies in the field. If this was the case, it has worked wonders. The entire NASCAR community is talking about the chemistry between the two during the video and giving more attention to the commercial.
