Reigning NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Larson is second to no-one when it comes to running the wall. Only a handful of elite racers can match his pace and perfection in a sprint car. He proved it yet again, winning the High Limit Racing international event at Perth Motorplex, Australia, marking his back-to-back wins at the venue.
Kyle Larson overcome significant challenge from two of the best Sprint car racers at the moment in Corey Day and Rico Abreu. The latter’s attempt to catch the series co-owner fell through after an engine failure with three laps left. It brought out a caution the killed the momentum of the former. That was enough advantage for the veteran to beat his Hendrick Motorsports teammate Day.
The action-packed evet earned him $110,000 Grand Prize, while the other two major challengers flew back with small piece of the prize pool. When Kyle Larson won the event last year, he got the $100,000 prize. The win proved how the No:5 Chevy NASCAR Cup driver is still one of the most versatile racers in the world.
Kyle Larson isn’t done racing though, as he is set to fly back to the states for the iconic Tulsa Shootout. He will be racing against the likes of Ty Gibbs, Kyle Busch and son Brexton Busch, among other big names. His children are also set to race in the junior divisions of the iconic event, as the busy schedule continues for the Larson family.
Kyle Larson admis the win was tougher than he expected
The two times NASCAR Cup Series champion on his post-race interview admitted that it was a tough victory for him. He admitted that he was a bit rusty during the race week, especially the first year and from night two, he was able to get back strong.

Yeah, it feels really good. It was a lot like this last year. I was probably a little rusty the first night, a lot like the first night last year. The second night, let’s see, we just weren’t as good, but we were getting better.
Kyle Larson told FloRacing.
Further talking about the point, he asserted that his team gave him a strong car for the main event and it played a major role in the success. Some lucky breaks he got between the race also played role in him earning the success, that he is proud for himself as well as his team.
Then we were able to just put it together tonight and dial in the race car, and just make some good decisions when I needed to and have some good fortune along the way. All the ingredients that you need to win races, especially big ones. Just proud of the team and proud of myself, too for not plugging the wall and getting frustrated. So, yeah, it was just fun.
Kyle Larson added.
The comments from the Hendrick Motorsports champion shows he has work hard and grind the result. For the Larson fans that came to see him at Perth, they got a show to remember and it would be interesting to see how he is going take this momentum he has to win more races in the post-season as well as the 2026 Cup season.
