Kyle Larson is one of the most dominant racers in the NASCAR Cup garage, with two championships to his name. One track the veteran loves to race in more than ever is the Bristol Motor Speedway, where he has won back to back races in 2024 and 2025, with dominant fashion.
In the 2024 edition of the race, he broke the speed record that was set on track in 1971 and won the race, leading 462 of the 500 laps. To put how big his win was into perspective, the 2020 champion Chase Elliott finished that race P2, over 7.08 seconds behind the veteran despite driving for the same team. In the 2025 edition of the race, he led over 411 laps, won all two stages and secured the race win.
In a recent interview, Kyle Larson talked about how Bristol is one of his most favorite tracks and how much he appreciates performing well there. He pointed out that the track is favorite owing to the challenge it offers with its high banking, speedy lanes and the intensity it demands.
Bristol would be my favorite. Just half a mile, small track, high banking, really fast-paced the whole time, just really intense. It’s a lot of fun.

The veteran then pointed out that the reason behind his NASCAR success at the track is his dirt racing background. Kyle Larson is one of the most accomplished dirt racers in the history of the discipline and pointed out that the intense racing style he learned from there is benefiting him a lot in his Bristol outings.
I think that’s why [background in dirt racing] I enjoy it, and I adapted to it well, just because it’s the most similar to dirt racing to me than any other track we go to, just that intensity and high pace.

Kyle Larson really wants to win the Daytona 500
One race Kyle Larson hasn’t yet won in his Cup career is the Daytona 500 and it is the only crown jewel race left for him to conquer. He really wants to be crowned a Daytona 500 champion and don’t end up like some of the NASACR greates before him that doesn’t have the win in their resumes.

The one race you would love to win, I would imagine it’s the obvious one, right? Daytona. Yeah. Is that Yeah. Yeah. That’s that’s the last like crown jewel for our team to win. So, I would love to uh love to win that one for sure. how difficult that race is so unique in so many aspects, but how difficult it is to win that race.

The comments from the veteran are on point, as he won’t be able to win the Daytona 500 purley on skill and the car, ae luck plays an important role there. It would be interesting to see how long it would take the champion driver to secure one of the most sought after trophy in the sport.
