The 2025 so far has been impressive for Kyle Larson, as he won two races from 11 events and finishing seven races inside the top 5. He had solid day at Texas Motor Speedway last weekend that earned him the most points of any driver, and a P4 finish. But not winning the race despite having the most dominant car, is a huge disappointment for him.

So going into this weekend race at Kansas Motor Speedway, where he has won two races from 20 outings, Kyle Larson is seeking redemption. He does have an advantage over his rivals to pull that off, considering it is a track that suits his racing style as the race lane often is up against the wall and there is no one as good as the No:5 Chevy driver in running the wall.

I think Kansas is a track that really suits my driving style. You spend the run really searching all over the track, just trying to find grip. Usually by the end of the run, we’re right up against the wall. I didn’t close it out in Texas last weekend, so hopefully I can redeem myself this weekend and get the job done.

The track suitability isn’t the only advantage Kyle Larson has at the moment. He has been the best drivers in all of three 1.5 miles tracks so far in the 2025 season. He has finished top-10 in all of those races, with the average finish of 4.67. Him being the leader in average finish and lead laps among active drivers is another significant advantage.

Kyle Larson’s teammate Alex Bowman is looking forward for Kansas race

Just like Larson his teammate Alex Bowman, who has been winless in the 2025 season so far, is seeking to bounce back. He is looking forward to what he calls the hustle in the search for grip this Sunday and also wants to redeem himself for missing out on the win last Sunday.

Kansas (Speedway) is one of those tracks where you can really hustle the car and search for grip. We were good there in the fall and I felt like we had an Ally Chevrolet that could have won the race but it just didn’t work out. This is one of my better tracks and a place that I have always enjoyed. I’m looking forward to getting on track this weekend.

Unlike Larson though, Alex Bowman doesn’t have any advantages going into the race. From his 18 starts at the tracks, he hasn’t won a single race and has ever finished inside the top-5 thrice. He does have experience of winning in such tracks, but only one of them has come in the Next-Gen era, which is a cause of concern.

The duo’s teammate William Byron and Chase Elliott are also coming in searching for victory. Elliott is desperately looking to end his 37-race winless streak while Byron is looking forward to extending his championship lead and continuing the dominant run.
