NASCAR continues to be a very lucrative sport for many drivers to want to race in. Despite racing in the pinnacle of motorsport, Logan Sargeant still doesn’t feel accomplished enough. As such, the American driver sets sight on potentially participating in Stock racing in the near future and completing his racing journey.

Logan Sargeant suffered from an ill-fated career in Formula 1. Despite glimpses of performances, Sargeant was unable to emerge as a dominant force and keep up with results. The American then turned to IMSA SportsCar Championship following his disappointing exit from F1. Now, the 25-year-old noted that he wished to participate in the oval racing of NASCAR atleast once in his career.

It wouldn’t be much of a surprise to witness a Formula 1 driver participating in NASCAR, as many other notable people from the sport have made the switch. Namely, Kimi Raikkonen and Jenson Button participated in stock racing following their exit from the single-seat racing category. Though Logano Sargeant does not have concrete plans in place, his bucket list still showcases an unchecked mark next to racing in NASCAR.

Logano Sargeant is all set to debut at the Rolex 24 Daytona with Era Motorsports in the LMP2 class. The American noted that he was super excited for his debut at the circuit. He added that he always wanted to be a part of this race, especially since it was so close to home for him. Sargeant aims to get along well with his teammates and ultimately come home by winning a Rolex watch for himself from the race.

I’m super excited to be tackling my first-ever Daytona 24 with Era to kick off 2026, It’s a race I’ve always wanted to be part of, with how close it is to home. It’ll be great to get acquainted with my teammates at the ROAR and push hard to come away with a Rolex at the end of the race.

Logan Sargeant will also race in the WEC with Ford

Logan Sargeant does not believe in resting, as he is set to race in the World Endurance Championship as well, alongside his IMSA appearances. The American will compete in the WEC with Ford as part of their Hypercar programme. The former F1 driver will be paired with endurance specialist Mike Rockenfeller and Sebastian Priaulx.

As such, Ford Hypercar boss, Dan Sayers, opens up about Logan Sargeant joining the project with huge ambitions. Sayers highlighted that having a true American driver for Ford at Le Mans just felt right. He further applauded Sargeant’s technical sophistication and high-downforce experience that he gained by racing in Formula 1. The American is expanding his domain in the world of motorsports and would surely be a great driver if he tried his hand at NASCAR.

Logan brings a level of technical sophistication and high-downforce experience that is vital for a programme of this scale. Having an American back in a Ford at Le Mans feels right. It’s a nod to giants like Dan Gurney and AJ Foyt.

For now, nothing is certain about Logan Sargeant participating in NASCAR in the near future. The American will certainly have many fans waiting for him to come race around the Ovals, even as a one-off. It will be interesting to witness the event if Sargeant finds willing sponsors ready to pay for his seat for a race around Daytona in NASCAR. For now, the former F1 driver has other responsibilities in the world of motorsport and will have to handle them.
