3 Hendrick Motorsports Cup Series drivers will race the JR Motorsports’ No.88 in the Xfinity Series
Chase Elliott(L), William Byron(C) and Kyle Larson(R)
JR Motorsports has recently come out with a partnership with Hendrick Motorsports to race three of its drivers with a 5th team consisting of three HMS drivers who will be Chase Elliott, William Byron, and Kyle Larson.
JR Motorsports currently has Sam Mayer, Justin Allgaier, Josh Berry, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Miguel Paludo, and Noah Gragson. JRM planned on racing at 4 venues this season and looks like their plans at Xfinity Series have changed.
Out of the races they’ve run so far, they have one top 10 finish with Miguel Paludo at COTA and Noah Gragson’s win at the Ag-Pro 300 at Talladega, and Elliott and Byron have won the Xfinity Series Championships in 2014 and 2017 both under JRM.
JR Motorsports plan for the 3 Hendrick Motorsports drivers with the No.88
Chase Elliott being the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series champion will take the No.88 to the Darlington Raceway on May 7th whilst already having 5 wins and 66 top 10s in the Xfinity Series.
The second racer William Byron will take the wheel of the No.88 in two outings which will be at the Texas Motor Speedway on May 21st and at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway on July 16th having 4 wins and 22 top 10s under his name in the Xfinity Series.
The prevailing Cup Series champion Kyle Larson will get behind the wheel of the No.88 car on August 20th at Watkins Glen International and on September 3rd at Darlington Raceway again, he also has 12 wins, 75 top 10s in his Xfinity Series bag.
With this new team of HMS drivers under their name, will JRM give the fans a treat at these aforementioned venues with their respective crew chiefs yet to be revealed?
