“A Jacka** on the track,” Danica Patrick reveals why she is still happy about Matt Kenseth wrecking Joey Logano in 2015

Danica Patrick in the latest episode of her podcast the “pretty intense podcast” opened up about her feelings on the Logano- Kenseth wreck of 2015. Patrick was speaking with cup driver and team owner Denny Hamlin on many subjects including the wrecks in NASCAR.

The controversial incident took place during the 2015 playoff run. Joey Logano wrecked Matt Kenseth to win the playoff race in Kansas. Two weeks later at Martinsville, the then No:20 driver intentionally wrecked Logano and send him to the wall.

This incident knocked both drivers off the playoff. Matt Kenseth was suspended for two races by NASCAR. He only raced in the season finale after the wreck. Danica Patrick, who also has been at the receiving end of such aggression from Logano opened up about her feelings on the wreck with Hamlin.

Danica said that she is still joyful about the wreck as Logano has been a jacka** on the track’. She said, “He waited and came back up on the track. And when the green flag dropped at the end of the race, he just fricking dumped Joey. And I, for one, am joyful about that because Joey’s a jacka** on the track. He also is another one that I don’t like,”.

Denny Hamlin agrees with Danica Patrick and labels Joey Logano as too aggressive

Denny Hamlin who was the guest on the podcast pointed out that Logano is one of the very aggressive drivers. He pointed out that being aggressive has brought success to Logano. Hamlin added that aggressiveness depends upon how much you care about your friends on the track.

“It’s tough because Joey’s on that spectrum I’m talking about. He’s on the full end, right? He’s very aggressive, and it’s been successful for him, but ultimately, sometimes you care about friends, and sometimes you don’t,” Denny Hamlin said.

Denny Hamlin pointed out that Matt Kenseth might have decided to wreck Logano after he had enough of the Penske driver. He said, “It’s not just that, but I feel like, at that time, Kenseth had had had enough. I’m destroying you. I’m making sure you don’t make another corner,‘”.

Joey Logano sure is one of the most aggressive drivers of his generation. He has been part of some of the most controversial moments of the decade. But the 2018 cup champion has matured over the years. The clean last-lap battle between Logano and Chastain last weekend at Vegas was a perfect example of it.
