23XI Racing driver Bubba Wallace had a stressful week coming to Daytona, and he left the track as maybe the most delighted racer in the garage last Saturday.  He secured his maiden Cup playoff entry as the 16th-ranked driver on points after Chris Buescher scored his third win in the last five races of the regular season.

One of the many people who deserve the credit alongside Wallace for the personal milestone is his wife, Amanda. She had been an excellent companion for the No:23 Toyota driver and, according to him, had to put up some struggles ahead of the regular season finale. Wallace pointed out that the stress about the race made him someone different from what he usually is.

My wife puts up with me through the stressful times. I wasn’t myself. Sorry, babe. I was focused on trying to get us in and pay for this house that you wanted (laughter).” Wallace said, as reported by ProTalks. Wallace embraced Amanda soon after he got out of the car, celebrating the success, and the duo was joined by 23XI co-owner Michael Jordan soon after.

2023 has produced great times for the Wallace family. Alongside his exploits on the track, he had significant influence outside the track. The couple got married on New Year’s Eve and expected the year to go on a high note as it started. A deep playoff run will be a part of it. Team co-owner Denny Hamlin has put the Round of 12 as the target for the team before the season began.

Wallace pointed out that the credit for his success also goes to the efforts put in by his team, who had to survive the trials and tribulations alongside him. He calmed that he had a kick as a group capable of bouncing back from everything.

Proud to be locked into the Playoffs. 23XI, third year in, getting both cars in the Playoffs. We’ve gone through a lot of trials and tribulations. So proud of the effort we put in. No matter how much we set ourselves back, we know that we have a kick-ass group and can bounce back from everything,” Wallace said after the race.

While Wallace secured the spot in the playoff, he can’t afford to take a breather. He is the lowest-ranked driver going into the R-16 and has to repeat the victorious day he had last season at Kansas to progress to the next round.
