Chase Elliott has been the definition of consistency in the 2022 season as the No:9 Hendrick Motorsports Chevy Camaro ZL1 driver has finished inside the top 10 in 80% of the races this season. The 2020 cup champion who saw his form slip in 2021 as he had an abysmal season has come alive this season with an impressive outing as he already bagged 3 wins and had positioned himself as the front runner for the regular season championship as well as the cup.

On Sunday, the M&M’s Fan Appreciation 400, the 21st cup race for the NASCAR Cup Series, will take place at Pocono Raceway. There are only two spots left in the playoff for winless drivers, and there is a strong likelihood that more than two drivers will win at the end of the season, so the race at the track, which is commonly referred to as the “tricky triangle” because it has three banks, will be furious.

Chase Elliott will be hoping to get his impressive run since Nashville running as he secured two wins and two P2 finishes in the last four race weekends, where the ins came in Nashville and Atlanta while he missed out on the win coming so close in Road America to Tyler Reddick and last weekend at New Hampshire to Christopher bell. Now he has come forth to express his thoughts on the coming race at Pocono, a track where he is yet to perform at his best.

Chase Elliott acknowledged that New Hampshire Motor Speedway and the Pocono Raceway are the places where he needed improvements in his final race product as he has been less productive in those tracks compared to his past outings. He pointed out that he feels like he was able to accomplish the NHMS goal with last week’s P2 finish.

I mentioned before about how New Hampshire (Motor Speedway) and Pocono (Raceway) were two places where I felt like we really needed to improve and try to have good runs at. I feel like we accomplished that last week in New Hampshire,” Chase Elliott said.

Chase Elliott went on to say that he had a great car last weekend and NHMS but failed to get the job done for the No:9 team, though he has improved a lot compared to his last outing at the same track. He went on to add that he and the crew needs to come up with some things to have a good weekend at the Pocono Raceway

The team gave me a great car, but I just wasn’t able to get the job done. Still a far improvement from where I feel we’ve been prior to that. Now we need to go and do the same thing this weekend at Pocono,” Chase Elliott added.

Chase Elliott went on to speak about his recent contract extension with his long-time sponsor NAPA as they penned a new contract that will see them remain as the primary sponsor for 26 future races as of now. He points out that he is thankful for the commitment shown by NAPA for all his wins and success. He added that he is always happy to greet the NAPA employees all over the country and is looking forward to celebrating more wins together with them.

None of this is possible without NAPA. I’m so thankful for their commitment to our team and their passion for what we do every weekend. I’ve been lucky to meet a lot of great folks from across the country who work for NAPA. All of us are really proud to represent a company that takes care of its employees and its customers and is driven to be successful in every aspect. I’m looking forward to what’s to come and celebrating more wins together,” Chase Elliott explained.
