Chase Elliott was elated after making an ‘expectation exceeding’ Cup return following six-week on the sidelines

Chase Elliott, the Hendricks Motorsports driver, is ecstatic after making a strong return from his injury at Martinsville and has thanked everyone for the warm welcome he received at the event. Elliott, despite making his return after being away from the sport for six weeks due to a fractured tibia, was able to put his number 9 Chevrolet through the wringer and come away with a brilliant Top 10 finish from the Martinsville speedway.
Ahead of the event, there were quite a few doubters who believed that Chase Elliott would struggle in his first outing back, but the American was able to shut all his doubters down with his strong outing. Moreover, while addressing his race and the warm welcome he received at the event, he said, “The people, honestly, from my peers to my teammates just the competitive nature of being here and wanting to be better,’’ Elliott said of what he missed most being away from the track during his recovery.”
“Really nice to be back and I appreciate the warm welcome this weekend by everybody. I appreciate that and it didn’t go unnoticed.” Chase Elliott is simply grateful to everyone for welcoming him with open arms at the Martinsville Speedway. He is also pleased that he was at least able to put up some kind of a show for his fans at the event. Elliott’s P10 finish is quite impressive, considering the time he was out of the sport for,” Elliott added.
With Chase Elliott being fully fit for the rest of the campaign, the Hendricks Motorsport team has got a strong driver line-up which could help the team in achieving its goals for the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season. There are still plenty of events left, and with Elliott beating back at the team, Hendricks Motorsport looks quite strong on paper and could pose a serious threat to the other teams.

Chase Elliott produced some slick moves during his outing at the Martinsville Speedway
Chase Elliott was returning at Martinsville from a nasty injury that kept him away from a racing car for a period of six weeks. Because of this reason, many were skeptical as to whether he would be able to go up against the aggressive NASCAR drivers or would succumb to the pressure. However, despite his doubters, Elliott was able to put in a strong performance.
While he struggled to get to grips with his car for most of the race, his last stint behind the number 9 car was good enough to land him in P10. Moreover, in the process of doing so, he was able to pull off some slick moves that left some of his rivals wondering as to what had just happened. Overall, the outing at Martinsville was the best that Elliott could have asked for.
The 2023 NASCAR Cup Series campaign is 9 races down and with has still got a few left on the calendar.
