The 2023 season marked yet another disappointing season for Christopher Bell as his championship campaign fell apart in the most undesirable race possible, the season finale at Phoenix. He made it the season finale for the second straight year this season but fell victim to a break failure with his No:20 Toyota Camry that ruined his race.

But, he left the track calm and composed, as he is looking ahead to the 2024 season to prove himself once again. He has proved his racing prowess with consecutive season final appearances and is confident about the upcoming season, as he believes that the team hasn’t reached its ceiling yet in the Next-Gen era.

I left Phoenix feeling very calm, and I was looking forward to what what’s ahead of us. So, I feel good. I feel really good, and I love my team, and I think that we have not reached our ceiling yet, so that gives me confidence.

Bell told NASCAR.com.

Bell wasn’t the only driver that saw bad luck ruin their season. His veteran teammates Martin Truex Jr. and Denny Hamlin missed out on the final four spots because of their car experiencing failures in the vital races. Neither of them wasn’t able to survive the R-8 and make it to the season finale.

Christopher Bell has some unfinished business going into the 2023 season

Bell finished his 2023 Cup season with two wins, 8 top-5s, and 18 Top-10s. His worst finish of the season was the P36 at Kanas and Phoenix due to DNFs. He finished just 8 races this year outside the top 20, proof of his impressive consistency.

But Bell wasn’t satisfied wasn’t his 2023 and claimed that even if he had won the 2023 Cup title, he wouldn’t have been happy with his season. He admitted that he missed out on multiple solid front raw finishes and possible wins this year.

I definitely feel like there is unfinished business and you know what, regardless of if we won the championship or not, I would have felt that way, just because we left so many races on the table that could have had top five, top threes, possibly wins.
