JGR owner and the No:54 drivers’ grandfather, Joe Gibbs, sees a lot of value in the effort put in by the No:11 Camry driver.
It’s good, I mean, I’ve kind of taken Ty [Gibbs] under my wing. I’d say that as a mentor, I’m probably more of a mentor to Ty than any of the other Gibbs drivers. We travel together. We do a lot of talking. He’s obviously a young up-and-coming driver. But I know it’s very important for Joe, Ty’s success.Denny Hamlin said via Happy Hour podcast.
The number 11 also spoke about how he wants to help Ty Gibbs because he thinks Gibbs is the future of the team. He says he does everything possible to help Gibbs out and make him more dynamic in nature. Ty Gibbs will surely be grateful to have a mentor who is one of the most well-known and iconic drivers of all time.
