Denny Hamlin claims the $16 million worth new 23XI headquarters will rival ‘any F1 race shop’

23XI Racing’s co-owner Denny Hamlin has claimed that his and NBA legend Michael Jordan’s NASCAR team, 23XI Racing, new headquarters will rival race shops of the Formula One team. The project, which is reportedly worth $16 million, is under construction in Huntsville under the supervision of the Joe Gibbs Racing legend.
While talking about the development of the campus construction in his Dirty Mo Media podcast, “Action Detrimental,” Denny Hamlin said that he expects the shop to be state of the ark and worthy of riveling the F1 team’s multi-million dollars worth of facilities. The project’s roofing is already over, and he is getting every day to unveil the final project to the public.
“It’s coming together. They’re working. I think they’re probably a few weeks behind, but now that it’s got a roof over it and they’re not going to be affected by rain…But I’m excited about it. I’m excited for people to see, like, I mean, the interior is, is certainly very nice. I mean, it’s it will be, in my opinion, it’s going to rival any F1 shop that you go to,” Hamlin said in his podcast.
The 23XI HQ campus will have more than just the team race shop, according to reports. It’s reportedly building a 120-room hotel with 12,000 square feet of space for a commercial zone. There are reports that also suggest that it will have an estimated 300 apartments in the property as well

Denny Hamlin played a big role in designing the campus
Hamlin claimed he had played a significant role in designing the new facility just like he did with his house seven years ago. He said that he took inspiration from the many places and hotels he got the chance to visit, and the same was applied to the new race shop as well.
Hamlin also acknowledged that the team will start building their cars in their shops from January one, 2024. Their operations are run with the help of the top TRD team, JGR, which Hamlin drives for. It is rumored in the garage that 23XI might one day replace JGR as the number one Toyota team in NASCAR, and if that is so, the new race shop is a step in the right direction.
“I just did a ton of research on design and tried to figure out how I liked things, and yeah, it’s gonna be amazing when it’s done. And I know you see it, and it looks like it’s years from being finished. But on January 1, we’re operating out there. We’re building the cars there on January 1,” Denny Hamlin said.
