Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan
NASCAR Cup Series driver, Denny Hamlin had talked about a moment when NBA legend, Michael Jordan got behind the wheel of a stock car in a simulator version. The duo are business partners and have been doing their best to build up 23XI Racing. Moreover, they have been in association for a few years now, and Hamlin has had the chance to learn more about Jordan’s personality.
Denny Hamlin, during a recent episode of the Actions Detrimental, was asked if Michael Jordan would ever take a stock car for a spin. It was at this moment that Hamlin recalled the time when Jordan did get behind a stock car in a simulator. Moreover, he admitted that it did not go as planned for the NBA legend.
While sharing details and talking about whether he would do it again, he added, “Never again, He did it once, but it was the simulator at TRD. That content has not been released, nor will it probably ever be released because you, good luck trying to get them to approve it. But he wanted to feel what we feel, and so Toyota set it up and our team set it up for him to get in the Toyota simulator.“
Looking at Hamlin’s comments, it seems Jordan did not have a great time behind the wheel of a stock car in a simulator. However, if the footage somehow had gotten out, it would have been a sight to behold for his fans all over the World. The NBA superstar has a huge army of die-hard fans who keep tabs on everything that he does.
Michael Jordan’s first NASCAR-sim race was at Charlotte Motor Speedway

While Hamlin has made people aware that Jordan had a tough time on the simulator, he has also given precise details and revealed that the Charlotte Motor Speedway was chosen as the Circuit for Jordan’s simulator run. While talking about it, he added, “This was a couple of years ago, I don’t think it was last year’s …So I’m thinking, I said, ‘What kind of track do you want to be on?“
“He’s like, ‘I don’t want Daytona it’s just hold her wide open, that’s too easy. Give me something, what’s the next step.’ I’m like,’ Alright, let’s go to Charlotte.’ I probably could have picked Las Vegas or something or Michigan probably should have done that, but he didn’t last long.
“I mean, he did okay, he had a problem holding the car down on the bottom of the track. And then it was probably 15 minutes, and he says, ‘I’m done,’ He was sweating profusely. It was very hot. They had to modify, you would not believe how they had to modify it like the back seat is out of the simulator so as to fit his legs in the pedals. He put the helmet on and he’s just like, ‘Man, I just my eyes, I got so dizzy. Like I just started feeling queasy.’ So he had to quit.”
Hamlin, in hilarious fashion, has made it known that Michael Jordan’s simulator stint only lasted for 15 minutes. The experience was an uncomfortable one for the legend because of his height. However, while Jordan was not overly pleased with his experience, this reveal is going to make the day of many of Jordan’s fans all over the globe. Michael Jordan has a larger-than-life personality, and to get to know such interesting facts from his life, is sure to bring a lot of smiles to the faces of people.
