The two times cup series champion Kyle Busch will turn 37 next week as the No: 18 Joe Gibbs racing driver will hit the Dover Motor speedway hoping to start his birthday week with a win. But team JGR is facing a tough situation with the veteran as they are yet to sign a contract with ‘rowdy Busch’ as his long-time sponsorship deals with M&M manufacturer Mars ends.

This has stirred up fans causing concerns over his future with Toyota, but now A J Allmendinger who is a full-time Xfinity Series driver for No. 16, Kaulig Racing team, and a part-time driver at NASCAR Cup Series with the same team, who long has been an admirer and friend of Kyle Busch has come forth suggesting that the veteran won’t be going anywhere as the team Toyota won’t be letting him leave.

A J Allmendinger acknowledged that he loves Kyle Busch because he doesn’t hide anything. He went on to say that though Kyle Busch isn’t the most pleasant racer he always played a supportive role to him as he regularly answers any of his doubts on racing. A J Allmendinger added that when Kyle Busch has anything to say in his mind, he never takes a step back as he is more open about it.

I love Kyle Busch because he’s real. (He’s) not always the most pleasant, but if I call him and ask him questions about how to drive a race car, he’ll give me detailed answers for as long as I want them. But he’s also who he is. If he’s not happy or there’s something on his mind or something you don’t want to talk about, he’ll make sure that he says how he feels about it. I get it,” A J Allmendinger said.

A J Allmendinger went on to say that it’s the sponsorship deals that are causing a stir in the garage about contract talks and posed the question to fans do they think Toyota will let go of Kyle Busch to a Chevy or Ford as he believes it will never happen.

Unfortunately, this is what runs our business. It’s sponsorship dollars. Do we really think Kyle Busch is going to go without a ride next year? No way. No, there’s not a chance. Do you really think Toyota wants Kyle Busch to go drive a Ford or a Chevrolet? Ain’t going to happen,” A J Allmendinger added.
