‘Exciting news!’ NASCAR Hall of Famer Jimmie Johnson releases ‘visual biography’ featuring his historical NASCAR career

Jimmie Johnson is among the all-time greats ever set foot in the NASCAR cup series as he has secured the premier Stock car racing championship a record seven times, making him the driver with most championship wins a record he shares with fellow legends Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt. The former Hendrick Motorsports No:48 driver is currently taking a short in open-wheel racing in the IndyCar series driving for CGR.

Jimmie Johnson drove to his NASCAR legacy in his NASCAR career which spans over two decades as he secured five consecutive championships from the years 2006 to 2010 along with two championship runs in 2013 and 2016. The champion is among the first class of Hall of Famers and has secured 83 cup race wins in his career which earns him a P6 spot in the all-time winner’s chart.  

Jimmie Johnson revealed his new project via his official Twitter handle as he tweeted announcing that he and his wife Chandra have been working on the project for a long time, a project that has been close to his heart and something proud to share revealed Jimmie Johnson during the announcement of pre-orders of his book titled “one more lap”.

“Exciting news! Chani and I have been working on this project for a long time now. It’s something that’s been close to my heart, and I am proud to finally share it with all of you. Precoders for “One More Lap” are available now,” Jimmie Johnson Tweeted.

Hendrick Motorsports put out a press release with the details of the book

HMS press release acknowledges that the book titled “one more lap: Jimmie Johnson and the #48” is a visual biography of the Hall of Famer featuring behind the scene moments at the track, racing snapshots, and the images that have been taken by the record times cup championship holder. The visual biography will also feature the youth photos of the legend pulled from his Family Album.

‘One More Lap: Jimmie Johnson and the #48″ is a visual biography featuring behind-the-scenes moments at the track, racing snapshots, photographs taken by the 83-time Cup Series winner himself, and photos of his days as a youth pulled from family albums,” says HMS in a press release.

The press release went on to reveal that ‘One More Lap’ book has a forward written by NBA legend and NASCAR team owner Michael Jordon. The Ivan Shaw-produced book will feature 272 pages featuring 175 photographs shedding light on the 2 decades of brilliance produced by the legend on the NASCAR track. The Rizzoli International Publications Inc published book will be retail for $48.

How NASCAR Twitter reacted to Jimmie Johnson’s announcement

There was a positive reaction though out about Jimmie Johnson announcing the book that will give an exclusive look into the legend’s NASCAR career. When some fans shred the excitement and them ordering the copies other fans requested copies that are autographed by the legend himself.
