NASCAR has announced the induction of 2012 Cup series champion Brad Keselowski to the list of the 25 drivers that will be added to the preview’s 50 greatest drivers list. He is the 5th active driver named after Kyle Larson, Denny Hamlin, Chase Elliott, and Martin Truex Jr. The RFK Racing owner-driver is among the most accomplished drivers of his generation and deserves a place on the list.

Born into a racing family, the Michigan native was destined for greatness, but he earned every bit of it as he progressed in the NASCAR youth radar while working in his father’s racing shop. He made his NASCAR debut in  2004 at 20 with Ford team K-Automotive Motorsports. He made a full-time debut in 2005, and his solid performance with the middle side earned him an Xfinity series promotion.

He made his Xfinity debut with Chevy team Keith Coleman Racing in 2006 before signing a full-time deal with Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s JR Motorsports in 2007. He formed his own racing team, Brad Keselowski Racing, that year. The team failed part-time rides in the Truck series till they ceased all operations in 2017. He moved to Penske Racing in 2010 and won the championship in his maiden season.

He made his Cup series debut in 2008 with HMS. Next year scored his first Cup win racing for Phoenix Racing in Talladega. But that was enough to get him a full-time ride with a Top Chevy team in the Cup series. So, he moved to Penske Racing which was fielding Dodge’s back in 2010. In Penske’s final season with the manufacturer, Keselowski earned Penske first ever cup title. They have won the series twice, thanks to Joey Logano. He remained with the team till 2021 before moving to RFK.

Over the years, he has won 35 Cup races, 39 Xfinity Series races, and one Truck Series race. He is yet to win the iconic Daytona 500 and is part of a special group of Cup champions without the crown jewel race win. He has won the other three crown jewel races in his career. He is now focused on getting his team RFK to the next level on and off track. His financial expertise, which is backed by his becoming one of the richest NASCAR drivers ever, will help the team to thrive.
