NASCAR has announced the latest entrants to the list of 75 greatest drivers of all time. 2004 Cup series champion Kurt Busch will is named to the list alongside his brother Kyle Busch. Regarded as one of the greatest drivers of his generation, Busch is one of the most respected veterans in the Cup garage.
Kurt Busch had an illustrious career in the Cup garage, where he drove for every manufacturer in his time and won at least a race with them. He is one of the only 36 drivers in the history of the sport that has won races in all three divisions of the sport. Kurt and his brother Kyle hold the record for being the winningest siblings in NASCA history.
Busch made his NASCAR debut in 2000 in the Cup series with Roush Racing after establishing himself in the minor national series’s. He secured a full-time contract the next year, and in 2004 he won the title. He went on to race for Team Penske, Phoenix Racing, Furniture Row Racing, Stewart Haas Racing, Chip Ganassi Racing, and now 23XI Racing.
The 2014 Indy 500 Rookie of the Year has been on the sidelines since the 2022 Cup race in Pocono practice crash. He announced that he would run a part-time schedule in 2023 due to the concussion he suffered and is yet to make a comeback. He has been a mentor for 23XI drivers Bubba Wallace and Tyler Reddick.
Kurt Busch is among the most accomplished drivers in the Cup garage. The firmer IROC champion has won 34 Cup races from 778 starts. He has also scored 5 Xfinity series races from just 30 starts, and he finished inside the top 10 on 23 of those races. He has 4 Truck Series wins and 20 top 10s from 28 starts. He also has a P6 finish in the Indy 500.
