Tony Stewart Super Star racing experience has announced the full-0time driver’s lineup for the 2023 season of the event. Former Cup series champion and RFK Racing co-owner Brad Keselowski will drive full-time in the series, and two NASCAR legends will join him. Hall of Famer Bobby Labonte is the most high-profile entry, and Dayton 500 winner Ryan Newman joins him. Truck series driver Hailee Deegan joins the trio.
Brad Keselowski is the full-time rookie racer of the season, as he hasn’t been featured in any of the former races of the organization. Newman drove full-time in the series in 2021 and in selected races last year. Bobby Labonte and Deegan have also made selected starts in the series before.
The 2023 season is significant for SRX as the race is shifted to Thursday as part of a multi-million deal they struck with ESPN. The races will be featured in the return of the iconic show from the 80s, the Thursday night thunder, aired on the channel.
More high-profile drivers are set to drive in selected races in the series. SHR driver Kevin Harvick has signed a deal that will see him start two races, while RCR’s Kyle Busch will make one start as well. Semi-retired NASCAR legend Clint Bowyer will start in three races, and IndyCar legend Helio Castroneves will also be featured in the event.

Hailee Deegan and co-express their opinion on the SRX entry
“I can’t wait to be running the full SRX series. Ever since I did my first SRX race, I’ve been hoping that the schedule would work out to where I could race in it full-time…Going into this year, I was hoping I had no conflicts and could participate in the whole season,” said Hailee Deegan.
“I’ve been watching the SRX series on TV over the years, and given our limited practice and qualifying time in motorsports now, this provides another outlet to gain track time and better my craft. The addition of ESPN and the return of Thursday Night Thunder is a huge plus to the series,” Brad Keselowski said.
“I am honored to be competing in the SRX series again this year. Last year was a great experience, and the trip for me and my girls to victory lane in Stafford (CT) will always be remembered. Being back on Thursday Night Thunder with Tony will be special as well,” said Ryan Newman.
“It’s quite an honor to be invited back to the SRX Series for a third year. Everybody has done a great job making the series more popular every year. We had a good run last year, won a race and contended for the championship. I am really excited to be competitive again this year,” said Bobby Labonte.
