The Charlotte Cup Series Race 2022 edition, the crown jewel, the Coco-Cola 600 was one of the craziest, wildest, longest, and most entreating cup races even been in NASCAR. The race offered fans a five-hour rollercoaster ride of boredom and excitement as it witnessed 18 cautions and a number of wrecks and spins throughout the day. In the end it was JGR veteran Denny Hamlin who came out on top ahead of teammate Kyle Busch.

Chase Briscoe was on fire in the final stages of the Coco-Cola 600 in Charlotte Motor Speedway as he found his way to the top and was nearly successful in chasing down the No:5 Chevy of Kyle Larson who was leading the whole race. But he paid the price for pushing his No:14 Chevy Camaro ZL1 too far as just as he was about to overtake Kyle Larson he spun out nearly taking out Larson with him. He finished P4 at the end of the race after Austin Dillon took out the front runners.

Now Chase Briscoe has come forth expressing his opinion on how the race played out for him, how he lost control of his car, and his wish to go back and make his wrongs right.

Chase Briscoe acknowledged that his No:14 car struggles really bad for the last one and a half months and he threw it the chance for redemption, with such a great car he had in Charlotte, with his immature moves. He went on to say that he is glad that they were able to at least get back to P4 but unfortunately things could have been better as he had more than 100 different things to do differently if he had the chance to do so which can get him better results. He added that he made a mistake and went too far in Charlotte.

We’ve obviously struggled really bad the last month-and-a-half and to have a good car like that and had a car capable of winning and I threw it away, plain and simple. I’m glad we were able to at least get back to fourth. It’s unfortunate. There are 100 different things I would have done differently if I could re-do it again, but obviously, you’re racing at the moment and I made a mistake and went too far,Chase Briscoe said.

He went on to say that his move on Kyle Larson which caused him to spin looks similar to what he had with Tyler Reddick at Bristol it was totally different as he was confident about clearing Reddick for the win whereas in case Kyle wasn’t the case. He went on to say that he wishes he could have done it all over again so that he can run at 95 instead of 110 percent of the car’s performance. He added that he is proud of what the SHR team was able to do today.

I’m sure it looked the same. The move was totally different. With Reddick, I was going in there to try to get there and I didn’t have an opportunity to get there, whereas with Kyle I knew there was no way I was gonna drive in there and clear him,” said Chase Briscoe.

I wish I could do it all over again. I just was running 110 percent. I probably should have been running 95. Just super proud of everybody at SHR. I’m glad we were able to get back to fourth, but we definitely had a lot better race car than fourth,” added Chase Briscoe.
