Austin Cindric is the winner of the 2022 Daytona 500 and the front runner for this year’s Rookie of the Season award has found himself once again in an unfortunate spot, this time at Charlotte Motor Speedway in the Coco Cola 600. The young Penske driver who started the race at P6 was running fast as he found himself getting to the top of the field easily but with just 56 laps to go until the end of stage 1, Austin Cindric found himself wrecked.
Austin Cindric was on a flying lap running P9 but he crashed into the wall entering turn four on lap 146. Cindric was trying to run up the field through the bottom but his rear front tires got cut down causing him to spin and crash to the wall on the outside. Now Austin Cindric after getting released from the care center expressed his thoughts on how the race panned out for him.
Find out what Austin Cindric had to say about his wreck

Austin Cedric acknowledged that the rear left tire of his Ford Mustang was cut in corner entry and unfortunately there was absolutely no warning sign for him. He went on to say he decided to run bottom on that lap, which meant he was a long distance away from the wall, in his fast Menards/Cardell Ford Mustang but had a hard hit.
“We cut a left-rear tire down right on the corner entry. There was absolutely no warning and unfortunately, that was the lap I decided to run the bottom, so a long distance to the wall and a pretty hard hit. We had a really fast Menards/Cardell Ford Mustang,” Austin Cindric said.
Austin Cindric went on to say he was having fun and the fact that the fast cars usually climb up through the field running the top and the bottom he finds the situation he is in just unfortunate saying “I was having fun. We had a fast car and fast cars usually climb up through the field running the top and running the bottom. It’s just unfortunate,”.
Austin Cindric was realized from the care center shortly after with his teammates, Ryan Blaney and Joey Logano, staying on the track carrying the hopes for Team Penske Racing. But Ryan Blaney was quick to follow his teammate as he also found himself in a crash and drove himself out of the race. Now veteran Joey Logano who finished the on P6 at the end of Stage 2 is the only hope for Team Penske.
