NASCAR will hit Charlotte Motor Speedway on Sunday for the 14th round of Cup series racing and the opening race of the second half of the regular season and fans will be expecting a blast as the seats and races left the playoffs getting filled soon. The Coco-Cola 600 nicknamed the ‘crown jewel’ of cup series races is one of the most unique and historic races in the schedule as it’s the only race that covers 600 miles.

The Next-Gen cars will make their 600 miles debut on the track and drivers will have to overcome the transformations from Day to evening to that night that comes with 600 miles of racing. No:3 Richard Childress Racing Chevy Camaro ZL1 driver Austin Dillon will be a driver to look up to in Charlotte as historically the 32-year-old has been producing good runs on the track.

Austin Dillon secured his maiden Cup Race win in Charlotte and will be hoping to get a 3ed career win this season in the next-Gen car has the RCR driver been able to showcase his consistency so far this season. He has secured 7 top 10 finishes this season with two of them coming inside the top 3. He finished P13 in the last point race at Kansas and came out expressing his opinion that he might be able to secure a god run and hopefully a win at Coco cola 600.

Austin Dillon acknowledged that he always had success in Charlotte Motor Speedway though he is unaware of the fact why is it like that. He went on to say that he enjoys the track and has a feel alongside an understanding of how the car will run on the track. Austin Dillon said that the fact that he had his first Cup race win at Charlotte makes the race something that he wants to go out and perform really well.

I don’t know what it is about Charlotte Motor Speedway. I’ve always had success there. I enjoy the track. I understand what it takes to be fast there is a race car and I have a feel for it. Obviously, I won my first Cup race at Charlotte, so I definitely circle it every year as a place where we go and compete well,Austin Dillon said.

He went on to add that they struggled in their last outing at Charlotte though they were fast due to one of their pit crew going down. Austin Dillon added that he is really excited about the coming weekend driving the next-Gen car on the track.  He added that he git to test the car on a cold offseason day in Charlotte but he is excited about going there as it’s a good place for him.

“Last year, we were really fast. One of our pit crew members went down leading into that race, so we kind of struggled on pit road that week. I’m really excited about it and taking the Next-Gen car there. We did get one test there this offseason when it was really cold outside. I’m always excited to go to Charlotte. It’s a good place for me,” Austin Dillon added.
